News about the 2024 Saks Holiday Light Show with @John Friia | Here In NYC ! The holiday season in NYC is going to look a little different this year as Saks Fifth Avenue has CANCELS its famous holiday light show! This was a benchmark year for the iconic store, which is celebrating 100 years at this location, and what would have been the 20th year of the light show. The light show began in 2004 with 50 giant snowflakes made out of 70K LED lights, and eventually transformed into the whimsical holiday castle which delighted onlookers. Last year they brought the city a colorful collaboration with Dior and presented Carousel of Dreams. However, financial struggles have forced them to changed their 2024 holiday presentations.
