Medication update 💙 It’s the beginning of the month, meaning it’s #postyourpill and the first one since I went back on medication, so I wanted to provide a bit of an update for you all. Back in 2021, when I first started taking medication for my mental health, I felt ashamed - like I had somehow let myself down. Fast forward to 2025, and my perspective has completely shifted. Thanks in large part to this movement, I no longer carry that shame. Instead, I feel incredibly grateful for the support these pills can provide, helping me find joy in life again and embrace a sense of peace. Of course, I’m still doing everything I can to support my well-being: exercising, spending time in nature, meditating, and staying alcohol-free, but sometimes, a little extra help is needed. And that’s not just okay, it’s a sign of strength. To whoever needs to read this right now. Future you will thank you for getting the help you need and deserve. Whether that’s medication, therapy or just talking to someone. Don’t let stigma and shame be the reason you didn’t get help. I am genuinely so so so glad I didn’t let the shame I felt stop me.
