i wasn’t sure wether to post this or not as i feel so sorry for myself looking back. but i want to raise awareness around anxiety during pregnancy, and how miscarriages really do affect us mentally. for a few days before my 12 weeks scan i had some dark brown but very light discharge/ blood that stopped a day before my scan. i drove myself crazy looking into it all, trying to figure out what it could be, and i spoke to the triage who said it was most likely nothing to worry about as dark brown usually indicates old blood. as much as i felt like i knew something was wrong, i also held on to so much hope. my coping mechanism for anything has always been to think of the worst to make it easier, as i feel like as much as my brain done this, i was also so shocked to find out my baby had sadly passed. the first thing i said to the sonographer as i burst into tears was “i was expecting this” and it was horrible. having miscarriages in the passed made me feel so anxious this entire pregnancy. and as much as i tried to keep those feelings at bay, it still nagged away at the back of my brain. #pregnancyloss #missedmisscarriage #miscarriage #miscarriageawareness #12weekscan
