Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the whole world ❤️ Thank you for being the funniest, kindest, and God loving person I know. I love and appreciate you so much. My Dad and his family are immigrants from the Philippines. It took my Lolo 10 years to get citizenship and be able to bring my Dad over when he was 10. Their sacrifices have given us a better life and he has taught us to never take that for granted. It saddens me on this day that not everyone can celebrate with their fathers. The last week I have been trying to educate myself on the events that have been happening in Los Angeles. Predominately Hispanic but also Asian immigrant families documented and undocumented are being taken against their will without due process. The treatment I’ve seen has been inhumane. People are being taken from churches, schools, restaurants, and job sites based on the color of their skin. Children are being separated from their families. No matter where you stand in politics, we need to stand for human rights and human decency. I stand with the Hispanic community and all communities affected and will do my best to continue to educate myself on how I can help. Stay safe, be kind and, let’s pray for a better way. ❤️🙏🏼
