I love Austin but 9/10 times when I take my kids out in public, I’m the only person with human children. Like how is it that this city is more dog friendly than it is kid friendly. You can take your dog to this restaurant but I can’t bring my kids?
Replying to @p3oplespr1incess [TW:ED] it’s one step at a time and if a certain crutch is helping you get to that next step, that’s okay. Use that safety net until you don’t need it anymore. (don’t mind my eyebrows I just got them dyed)
From visiting Coco in the hospital when she was sick, to seeing her graduate kindergarten, spending several birthdays and holidays together, cooking family meals for us when groceries were running low; all before we were even in a relationship. They were anything but strangers to my kids. They were our number one support system when I was struggling to hold things together as a single parent. They showed me more kindness than I’ve ever been shown. They showed me what real love and compassion looks like. They showed me that sometimes chosen family is there for you even when your own blood is not.
