The emotions since losing Bug are something I've never experienced. The gaping hole in my chest feels like a void that can never be filled. The guilt from the uncertainty that I cut her life short is overwhelming. Then comes the wave of rage at the unfairness of it all. The immense sadness that takes over every time I think of the love she gave. And it's all the time. The loss of someone who has shared your journey, walked beside you, and been there through the good and the bad feels like more than I can bear. And then there's gratitude for having something in my life that brought the purest joy every single time I looked at her. I see her everywhere. In her favorite fluffy blanket on the couch, at the door to greet me and remind me it's meal time, coming to find me if I take too long getting ready in the bathroom, lounging in the most sunlit spot... I think of her when I turn off the light, expecting her to hop into bed beside me and settle into her favorite place, only to wake up with her snuggled against my face. To say I miss you, @BugNaked is not enough. 💔

I was getting into bed today, and I was careful to avoid sitting on the ruffled covers, thinking Bug was under them, like she always was. Realizing that she wasn't tore me apart. But someone said to me yesterday: "When you feel she is still there she is ❤️. They don't leave us for awhile after they pass. When you feel like she is there, or you see her but she isn't really there..... She is there. She is letting you know she is OK and this is ending that she chose. Don't blame yourself, this is how she wanted her experience here and she chose you as her mommy for a reason  ❤️." While it feels impossible to lessen the pain, these words did help. Initially I thought I didn't want the reminders, but now every reminder is proof that she is still with me, and I will not let that go. I will not let the memory of her fade. I have thousands of images and videos that I have not shared so I will continue to post on her account everyday. It is my therapy to reflect on the life she had and share her with the world. 💔 @bugnaked ❤️

Our little girl is gone. Our hearts are shattered. Bug passed away last night from complications after a routine dental cleaning and tooth extraction. She was surrounded at home by our family and enough love to fill this universe. 8 years and 6months that we were blessed to spend together. The greatest of sidekicks, the sweetest of angels, the saltiest of seafaring cats, Bug was one in billion. We are devastated. Our hearts have been ripped from our chests. 💔 Bug, we will look for you in every rainbow and never forget the joy you brought every second of your brief life. Forever yours, @BugNaked Mum & Dad 🩷

Fun fact: all Cirrus aircraft have a parachute. I'm not talking about for the pilots, I mean for the PLANE! Cirrus is first & currently only company in the industry to include a whole airframe parachute as standard equipment on all certified aircraft models. The rocket-propelled parachute can be deployed when the plane is 600 feet in the air to lower the entire aircraft to the ground in an emergency.
