Getting out of the house with 2 month old twins is hard but staying home all day with a 3 year old is harder 😅 I used to feel stressed or on a timeline when I took the littles out solo because I was anxious about how I could feed them both at the same time and felt guilty having them in the car seats or laying down to long. I can confidently feed both of them at the same time while still being mobile around the park then after they can get a vertical snooze and contact nap in while I have free hands to push sis on the swings and spot her climbing IYKYK. The hours between 5-8pm feel like a marathon 😅😅 This is what's working for us this week but honestly, consistency is not our friend. My husbands work schedule is constantly changing so our routine is flexible around when I have help. The girls have been big spitters since day one. We've tried everything. Yes we pace feed. Yes slow flow nipples. Yes we burp them. Let them rest upright after feeds. It doesn't matter what we do, some of it is coming back up. We're currently trying to up the girls feeds from 4oz to 5oz because we're a little behind for their age and the spit up is really flowing as a result. There isn't to much concern because they are gaining weight just fine and aren't showing signs of pain or an allergy. They are in good hands, dads a pediatric ER physician and auntie is a NICU feeding therapist in addition to their own regular pediatrician visits. But just in case you're wondering... this is what over an OZ of spit up looks like on the floor. The @Baby K’tan wrap is currently my favorite soft carrier to use with the twins. It's the easiest to put on by far in my opinion! I had this carrier with my first daughter and used it all the time, especially when traveling, because it's quick and easy to put on yet also compact enough to pack in a carry on no problem. Thankful to be a pumping and breastfeeding mom! The journey to breastfeeding wasn't smooth for us. In addition to all the reasons why in the video, our breastfeeding journey started with pumping right from the hospital. They were concerned the girlies weren't getting enough because they would only feed for a few minutes at a time before falling asleep or unlatching. They had me start pumping so we could closely monitor their intake and we continued this at home to monitor their weight gain. I think since before they were born the thing that gave me the most anxiety was knowing one day I would be juggling bedtime with two newborns and a 3.5yo solo 🫠🤪 just this week had two days of back to back solo bedtimes and while everyone did eventually all sleep(ish- newborn life) in their own beds, there was def some tears and trial and error along the way.
