“My baby cries when I try to take a shower and I can’t leave them.” It’s ok! I promise! It’s ok! Believe me I believed any time my child cried it was accidentally going to “damage” him, that was until I learned that the damage the “cry it out method” inflicts is vastly different from your child periodically crying. So long as you can still talk to them, see them, or even reach out to touch them and soothe them, it’s ok! It’s NOT the same as “crying it out”, which that entails leaving the child totally alone and uncomforted for long periods of time. You deserve to have your basic needs tended to, it does wonders for your mental health. Even if it is momentarily uncomfortable, the benefits of tending to your most basic needs outweigh the minor discomfort. • • #motherhood #opinion #sahm #sahw
