Your mind is playing tricks on you my dear… I can’t believe how much it’s improved 🥹 almost 3 years ago, I had the surgery on my wrist to remove a tendon. Yes, it’s not fully straight but that was never the aim. The surgery wasn’t as successful as the surgeon originally planned as he had to change his approach mid surgery BUT my wrist is straighter, the joint is in so much less pain, the skin is better and my fingers can move freely again. I can use my hand and I am so much more independent now than how I was back then. Sooo thankful for the progress I have made 🥹✨ #thenandnow #progress #crps #emotional #trending

While I am genuinely concerned for their mental health—and I know they’ve had struggles in the past—this behavior is harmful. To anyone who’s been screen recording, stitching, or sharing their content: please stop. We need to stop giving them attention, stop fuelling the cycle, and start encouraging them to seek real help. Block. Mute. Report if necessary. This was so hard 🥺💔 It’s been almost two months since Bessler passed, and until now, I hadn’t touched any of his things. His bed, bowls, toys—they stayed just as they were. My car broke down on a busy, dangerous road a few months ago and I had no way of getting out so had to call the Police to come rescue me as I was obstructing traffic. Two police officers from Warwickshire police were there in minutes, stopped the traffic, helped me transfer into the passenger seat and then one of them drove my car to a lay-by (with the foot pedals) I then plugged the handset in and after problem solving what was going on, we realised it worked when plugged in so must be a battery issue. Come with me to get the battery replaced so that I can use my adaptive accelerator without needing it to be plugged in. There are so many adaptive solutions to make driving possible for disabled people out there and this one works really well for me as it gives my right hand the freedom to assist my left hand on the steering wheel. As with all equipment, it can fail, but hopefully replacing the battery has now solved that issue 🤞 #ComeWithMe #DITL #WheelchairGirl

Theme parks are meant to be fun — but what if just getting on a ride feels like an obstacle course? I had a great day at @Alton Towers Resort and wanted to bring you along as part of my Beyond Limits series, but there were definitely some barriers that made the experience harder than it needed to be as a wheelchair user. Transferring into the ride vehicles was one of the biggest challenges — the high sides made it really difficult. In the U.S., I went on rides with flip-down side panels that become transfer boards, separate boarding areas so you can take your time getting on or transfer aids that could be used to bump down to lower ride vehicles. That kind of design would make a massive difference here- and I think it’s definitely do-able! The app also kept directing us through inaccessible routes, which ate up a lot of our time just figuring out how to get around. (Went flying out my chair at one point 🤣😅) If you have access needs, that’s something to be really aware of. Before going, I was told I’d only be able to go on two rides because of limb-pressure requirements — but on the day, the operators were great and let me on all of them as long as I could transfer independently. There were a few near misses with the transfers and my arms were definitely aching the next day but it was so worth it. Big thank you to all the workers at the park who made my day as enjoyable as possible!! So grateful for the fun — but accessibility shouldn’t be a bonus. It should be built-in. THE AUDACITY‼️ I can’t believe that someone would think this is an ok thing to do; especially pairing it with those sounds! It’s not funny it’s disrespectful, speak to me, I’ll happily take a funny video or selfie with you and answer your questions. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me and other creators…I’ve experienced it in hospital waiting rooms, whist eating my lunch, at the gym… it’s straight up weird and NOT right! I LOVE meeting and chatting with you all out in public, if you ever see me feel free to come over and have a chat, be respectful and understand that I am also a human being with feelings. By all means ask for a photo, as long as I’m not in a rush/situation where it’s not appropriate I would love to take some with you. HELP! I’m down to zero fully-working limbs now 😭 Let this be a lesson for all of us… Start off slowly at the gym and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts instead of trying to do too much too soon, especially if you’re a beginner of disabled, like me; prioritise proper form and learning the equipment before pushing yourself to the limit and potentially injuring yourself. DON’T FORGET TO WARM UP! Thank goodness for my wax therapy bath, it saved me!! All my Ehlers Danlos family; we are at a significantly higher risk of developing tendonitis due to the inherent joint hypermobility which weakens the connective tissue in tendons, making them more prone to inflammation and injury from overuse or repetitive motions; essentially, the loose connective tissue in EDS can lead to unstable joints and increased strain on tendons, causing tendonitis. SEVEN TIMES I have reported to the staff of this @Next store that the aisles are extremely narrow, some I cannot even go down. STILL nothing has been done, they don’t even offer to help most times, just laugh and give me some excuse like “haha yeah we have a lot of stock out at the moment”, “the store has had a big move around because we have some sale items still in”, “haha yeah I know, sorry about that”… on all occasions, I have just put the items that I was looking at back and left the store, I feel discriminated against and not listened to; almost like they don’t want my custom. Once I couldn’t even get to the till, the area was so cluttered with rails and display shelving, the aisles were not wide enough to get down. It’s important to note that it isn’t just this retailer, there are so many that don’t consider those with disabilities and access needs (and pushchairs!) when arranging the layout of their shop floor. This isn’t just an oversight, I have reported this MANY times, over many months. WHY are we not thought about? WHY are we not listened to? WHY do you not want us to shop in your stores?
