🥞 Not the maple syrup kind (unfortunately)… though I am Canadian 😅🍁 The Pancake is a useful mobility skill, but not nearly as much if it’s just passive. To get into this position with strength is where the value really is. Kicking, squatting, hand balancing, and so much more becomes easier with active hip mobility! ⚠️ These exercises may not suit everyone. Consult a healthcare provider before starting any new exercise regimen. Listen to your body and modify as needed. 💪 You want to build muscle… But you probably don’t want to build pro body-builder levels of muscle. You want to be visibly fit and strong. But it would also be cool to express your strength with some skills, right? The thing is, most people can and will achieve their “ideal” muscle mass, for both aesthetic and health purposes, through training that isn’t solely based on optimizing muscle growth. In short: If you train only like a bodybuilder; You will get big and strong. But you may not move very well. And your joints may not feel good. If you add in some skills training; You’ll develop the muscle you want, plus you’ll develop coordination and mobility. Is it somewhat of a trade-off? Yes. But if your goal is a long healthy life, And you do t need to be as big as a bodybuilder, I think it’s a dam good trade. Do you agree?
