Starting a second guest room before finishing the first? Criminal… but functional needs took over. With more guests visiting this summer, I pulled this space together using affordable Amazon and Walmart finds, plus a little smart sourcing from around my own home.. because if something isn’t working in one room, I’ll always try to make it work somewhere else. Both of my guest rooms still need paint, wallpaper, molding, curtains, and more… but for now, this setup gives visitors a cozy, comfortable place to land 😴 I was genuinely surprised by the quality of these items. The Walmart bedframe has a sleek, modern look and the velvet texture feels way more luxe than its price. I took a chance on this $200 mattress after comparing dozens, and it’s shockingly comfortable. And these nightstands? Massive. I don’t always fix the problem- I just make it prettier. I actually did this project back in September… and true to who I am as a person, I’m just now getting around to sharing it. But honestly? I’m kinda glad I waited because now I can say.. this paint has held UP. Since then, I’ve added patio furniture (Walmart), the rug is from Amazon, and the rest of the decor is mostly HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, or HomeSense finds. I really love how the paint completely transformed the space even though I 100% should’ve just torn the deck down. It is what it is. Paradise in progress at my cozy little corner in Coastal VA. I’ve officially owned this home for just over a year, and while I haven’t lived in it that whole time, I have been pouring my heart (and weekends) into it for about that long. Even though I share more than just my home here, this space is the heart of my content. I believe you don’t need a huge budget to create something beautiful.
