Okay, here are my thoughts: in the other video I didn’t use a satin scarf, that’s why it didn’t slip. I never make anything tight; in fact, satin/silk is beautiful but notoriously slippery because of its smooth fibers, so making it tighter doesn’t really solve the problem it just makes it uncomfortable and still slides. I’d recommend trying a cotton scarf or something with more texture and grip, those fabrics naturally have more friction and stay put more easily. If you really want to use the satin one, try covering a larger area so it lays nicely over the whole head. The name of the game is grip, not tightness! Adding texture to the hair (like teasing it a little or adding some product) helps create “anchors” so the scarf can hold better and longer. I find bobby pins sometimes help, but honestly… most of the time they just slide out, especially with satin or silk. ✨ What’s your experience with scarves? Tips for thinner hair and the viral clip:👀👇 - Instead of parting the hair into a section held by an elastic like in previous ideas try using ALL the hair to roll up, that is place the clip on the flat side and simply roll the bulk of the hair up - Make sure your hair is gritty, like stiff gritty, texture spray or even hold spray, it needs to basically hold by itself when put in place 😂 jk but you know what I mean, the grit will help the clip grab on to hair even better - Don’t roll too tight, in fact don’t even need to roll if you don’t have the hair to do so, just flip it up and clip - In my personal opinion with thinner hair you may not have anything tight with the clip, it will be on the messier side that way you can camuflaje and create puff and volume illusion.
