Powers out, phone towers will go down soon too and flooding has begun. Apparently we have T-minus 12 hours until cyclone Alfred hits land… Things were eerily calm and normal this afternoon but they are telling us not to get complacent. Just know we are safe!!!!! This is why people don’t talk about money. Even though it’s something we universally will struggle with at some point or another. If anything, the fact that I suggested we forgo our expensive lifestyle and lease to relieve financial pressure on us during this time of uncertainty is a testament to the opposite of those accusations. It is financially the best move for us to recover and ideally come back stronger and better than ever to give our children the future we always wanted to. It’s not easy to walk away from stuff you worked hard for. It’s not easy to humble yourself especially with the world watching. My heart hurts but it also feels heavy, ready to just let it all go and move on with our lives. This house will always symbolize a year of major growth and tough lessons. Quick update 🙏🏽 don’t have much service and power is out in the entire region pretty much but we are all safe. It’s now 3:15pm and the storm has really slowed down today and given the ground some time to actually absorb some of the water which is exactly what we need at our house so the flood isn’t too bad. They are not failures and their worth is tied to so much more than their career. Even though we know we are on the right path, massive changes like this are really scary and having to share it all like this has definitely given me a ton of ups and downs.
