I have dreamed of this moment for a long time. “A promised return” means so much to me. It’s a lyric I wrote in a song recently, and in this context I love it because I feel so excited to return to you guys and see you again, but this is also a return to a feeling. These are the kind of shows I dreamed of before I had a career. Just me and my lyrics, playing in quiet theatres, all of us getting what we need from the words. In the last 10 years, I still haven’t come across a feeling better than that. I remember on my first North American tour I was just so grateful and couldn’t believe that every day we’d be driving to a new city and there’d be people there who knew my music, and cared for it. This will be songs old and new, all played in a way you haven’t heard before. I’m so happy and proud to have gotten to this point, and everything feels the way it should. 48 hours in Doha with @Visit Qatar 😍 ad So excited to have had the chance to visit Qatar again! We kicked things off with an epic stay at the Fairmont Doha, one of the most beautiful hotels in the city. Pro tip: you have to try their short rib burger, we had it on our last trip and were blown away, so of course we had to get it again this time! 😋 Then came the real highlight: Travis Scott live in concert at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium — an unforgettable night, made even crazier with outdoor air conditioning (only in Qatar!). Qatar is quickly becoming a hub for entertainment and music, and it’s amazing to see big global acts choosing this destination! The next day, we headed to Doha Beach Club for a relaxed brunch — such a cool place to hang out. Later, things got intense at Doha Quest, where we took on the world’s tallest indoor rollercoaster and drop tower. (And by “we,” I mean me — Karen totally chickened out haha.) Yes, I screamed. A lot. Not so tough after all! 🫣😄 On our last day, we slowed things down with a walk through Crystal Walk on Gewan Island — a new outdoor spot with crystal art installations, aircon (again!), and great coffee and lunch places.
