Crispy Pork Shoulder Roast 🍖 When it comes to maximum flavour for your Christmas roast you can’t beat meat cooked on the bone. @Murray River Salt is our best friend for the perfect crackle every time! Written recipe below ⬇️ - Dry out the rind by massaging Murray River Salt in to the rind then leaving in the front uncovered overnight. - The next day wipe the rind with paper towels removing any excess moisture and salt. - Score the rind with a knife ensuring not to pierce through to the meat. - Pour olive oil over the roast massaging on all sides. - Season the meat with plenty of Italian herbs and spices. - Sprinkle salt over the rind. - Place in to a preheated oven set to 200C for roughly 2 hours. - Once the pork roast has come up to an internal temp of 70C remove from the oven and allow to rest uncovered for 20-25 minutes. - Carefully slice under the blade bone to remove the meat and crackle. - Remove the remaining meat off the bone. - Slice the crackle and serve all of the roast pork in a large serving dish. #cheatmeats #murrayriversalt #porkroast #salt #roastpork #pork #porkbelly #porkcrackling #bbq #roastedpork #christmasrecipes #christmaslunch #barbecue #porkshoulder #christmasroast

12 days of Christmas recipes 🎄 Day 9: gingerbread cake with cream cheese icing 🤎 #ingredients 1 cup apple sauce or mashed banana 2 eggs 1/3 cup olive oil 1/3 cup maple syrup or liquid sweetener of choice 1/3 cup almond milk or milk of choice 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups plain flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp ground ginger #icing 125g cream cheese at room temp 60g butter at room temp 1 1/2 cups icing sugar #method 1. Preheat oven to 180°c and line an 8×8 baking pan. 2. To a bowl add the apple sauce, eggs, oil, sweetener, vanilla, milk and mix. 3. Add in the flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder and mix until combined. Transfer mixture into the lined baking pan. 4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until cooked. Once cooked let cool completely. 5. While the cake is baking add the cream cheese, butter and icing sugar to a food processor and blend until smooth. Leave in the fridge until the cake is ready. 6. Once the cake has cooled, spread the icing and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and ginger. 7.
